Option to Adjust the Color of the Safari Pinned Tab Icon
Problem to solve
I as the administrator of our own gitlab instance want to increase customization of its look to match our companies colors. Currently the Safari pinned tab icon is always shown in gitlabs red. It does not matter which favicon I select in the settings. I also cannot select a color.
Intended users
Sidney (Systems Administrator)
User experience goal
The Safari pinned tab icon should have the selected color of the user.
Proposal
Under Admin Area
> Appearance
is a color picker to adjust the color of the Safari pinned tab icon.
Further details
Currently the color of the Safari pinned tab icon is hardcoded here: https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/blob/master/app/views/layouts/_head.html.haml#L80
