Create GitLab Teams

Release notes

Create a new service within GitLab and call it GitLab Teams.

Problem to solve

If a team is using GitLab for everything to build their product and then using something like Slack or any communication outside GitLab it inevitably forces people to ignore a lot of features and the actual value of GitLab and what the team is actually using GitLab for (e.g. not reading the code and wanting to leave the platform ASAP).

Staying in the same ecosystem will most likely ensure increased productivity and a better experience.
