Discussions on MR dissappear after a new commit

I have an issue with discussions on files on merge requests.

The exact problem is that when someone has submitted a merge request and colleagues add comments for a review, after the changes have been fixed and the code pushed, when viewing the changes on the file all discussions have disappeared. This is extremely frustrating when trying to resolve discussions because you have to swap back and forth between the discussions page and the changes page in order to ensure the changes were indeed implemented and resolve discussions.
