Download historical data for Deployment Frequency at the project level
Release notes
In this release we have added the ability to download historical data of your deployment frequency per project to CSV format. This will allow you to compare Deployment frequency metrics between your different projects and allow you to spot areas to improve or outstanding projects that others can learn from.
Problem to solve
As an executive investing in DevOps, I want to see my ROI. I want to see an improvement in the deployment frequency of my dev team. This will most likely drive the KPIs of my team. I want to be able to download historical data to visualize and gain insights in a 3rd party tool.
Intended users
- Dana (Data Analyst)
- Parker (Product Manager)
- Delaney (Development Team Lead)
- Rachel (Release Manager)
User experience goal
The user should be able to download the historical deployment frequency data per project
Proposal
Add a section to the project level CI/CD analytics to download deployment frequency - similar to download code coverage
Pressing the download button will open a modal (like daily code coverage) to select the timestamp of the data to be downloaded.
Further details
We will try to use something similar to daily code coverage
There is a limitation on how much real-time data we can display as discussed in !48265 (merged) - this issue will allow users to download historical data.
