Container registry S3 backend via proxy

Our gitlab-ee instance is hosted behind an enterprise proxy. We would like to use S3 as the storage backend for the container registry, but haven't been able to because there doesn't appear to be a way to configure the S3 driver to use the proxy.

I've tried:

• Setting the http_proxy env vars on the gitlab container
• Setting variables in config as described here

Is this currently supported?
