Roadmap and Burn-Down-Chart in FreeVersion

Release notes

Problem to solve

Market requirements and customer needs have never developed faster and more dynamically than today. As a result of the globalization and digitalization of economic processes and constantly changing conditions, more and more research projects at the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft are handled with agile project management methods. As project leader of the Fraunhofer lead project CAM2030 where 11 different companies and organizations are involved we use Gitlab as project management tool to organize ourselves. In our development teams we apply the SCRUM approach by using the "boards" and "label" features to plan our sprints and "issues" to document our product backlog. But what I miss, especially as a project leader, is to read the progress of the project in a temporal graphical representation. The roadmap feature would significantly strengthen the time reference to the individual iterative research developments and describe the duration, rhythm and expected results of the phases. At the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft we are using the free version. So I ask to bring the functions roadmap and burn-down-chart into the free version.
