Feature proposal: the only thing missing on gitlab, a portfolio that would give members of gitlab a sucess rate much higher than non users!

Creating portfolios that developers could show off to employers

the need to have a dedicated website to show a portfolio. git already has a profile, why not make it THE profile

Target audience

Anyone who codes and uses gitlab

Further details

Honestly the idea of a portfolio is what it is, developers would have a way to show off they're amazing work with the help of gitlab)

Proposal

give us a setting to be able to make information available, that would show the commits, lines , names of files, the readme file, but not the code itself! also, give as the ability to merge portfolios if we have different accounts (one account could show it's info, and the others info as it's own)

What does success look like, and how can we measure that?

developers being able to create amazing portfolios on gitlab! including projects that they did on other accounts or even private repositorys (like gitlab.company.com) (they would need to accept the request on the other account to show the info as their own) let's say I work at a company that has it's own repository, (or i just have a different gitlab acccount for some reason) I would send a request to that other account to "merge portfolio". when i accepted that request on the other account, my first account would also show those projects, commits, info, (not code if we dont want) readme as it's own info!
