better support for Group description needed

We made a small community with friends to make couple of projects and wanted to make community description in Group description. Unfortunately, there were no enough space to write at least necessary information and in addition I figured out that it has weak markdown support (I was not able to create list of members).
Please, let me know know if there is another place to write that info or may be unite community not under group but under different container.
