Improve combined input group for small screens

Problem to solve

On "New project" and "New group", we are using an input-group that combines a read-only input and dropdown menu to show the resulting project/group path.

On small screens with a limited width, the project/group paths are hardly visible.

Is there a way we can improve this, e. g. by decoupling this input group?
