Helm Tiller error message unhelpful - /usr/bin/helm: line 11: syntax error: unexpected ")"

I've been trying to integrate my raspberrypi-3 kubernetes cluster on k8's following the guide:

The cluster is up and running but I'm running into a lot of trouble trying to link up the cluster into Gitlab-CE and installing Helm Tiller is throwing errors which don't provide much insight. I'm trying to install Helm Tiller so I can get gitlab runners to use my Kubernetes.
