Page Update: GitLab Feature Count by new feature and tier

Problem to solve

There is no way to currently see how many features are available in GitLab by tier.

The need for this specifically came up during pricing discussions to be able to show how many features GitLab has added by tier as a justification point. However, I can see a use case for this for sales moving forward as they evaluate different tiers with customers.

Intended users

  • GitLab customers
  • GitLab GTM and support team members providing information to GitLab customers

User experience goal

When speaking to a customer or prospect about the value GitLab provides, I should be able to quickly access the number of features in Ultimate vs. Premium, for example.

Timeline is not urgent on this.

Proposal

add a "badge" (using shields.io) underneath each tier title that displays the new and total feature count for the release.

So it would look something like this:

Ultimate

12 new features 487 total badges

(Also try hovering over the badges for helper text.)

Technical users are already quite familiar with "badges" like this (for example, see https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/project/badges.html).
