This is becoming increasingly necessary when you work with sprint boards. There I only want to be able select a couple of the most recent iterations and not the very old ones. But I do want to keep the iterations for later reference. Big

That's not what I see in 14.5 Ultimate. The issue filter dropdown for iterations contains all past iterations (not even the coming, which is also not expected). The closed one's all appear and the list is getting longer every two weeks. And the most recent one is at the bottom.
Premium owner here - agree with this comment. The ever-growing list of iterations in all drop downs (board, sidebar, etc.) is cumbersome and annoying. Going to end up deleting all my old sprints. Hate to lose the data, but can barely find my active sprint after a year of using iterations.
I don't think I need an extra feature like Archive though. I think I just need the iterations to work like milestones and disappear from lists when they are closed.
