Clarify parse_gid errors

This change would see the ID in the error capitalised as I've seen @eread and @msedlakjakubowski prefer (I'm sure it's documented somewhere). Also, I'm wondering if we should make it clear that it's a global ID to ensure it's obvious that it's not numerical.

Setting weight as 1 but it would involve modifying some tests as well.
