Background

In version 13.2 we introduced the initial iteration of multi-line merge request comments (issue #211255 (closed)) with a basic dropdown UI. In the same version, we also introduced highlighting the comment line range when selecting the lines or when hovering an existing comment (issue #14128 (closed)).
