New epic button in epic list should direct the user to a full epic creation page
Problem to solve
- Currently- users are able to click the
New epicbutton within the epic list and create a new epic within a flyout. - Users will soon be able to click a
New epicbutton within an individual epic to be directed to an epic creation flow.
We should ensure these two experiences are consistent. Users should be able to click New epic within the epic list and create a fully fleshed out epic through the creation page.

Users are able to add all details needed to their new epic, and enjoy a consistent experience across GitLab.
Proposal
When users click on the New epic button in the epic list, they are directed to the "New epic" creation page and able to go through that flow.
Further details
Future scope to be done ASAP should be allowing users to create their epic in a subgroup within the group (similar to creating issues in different projects).
