Use handbook formatting prefences for emphasis and bold in the Static Site Editor

Problem

The Static Site Editor and the Handbook use different characters to format text as emphasized or bold. The Static Site Editor currently has the following formatting preferences:

• Emphasis character: *
• Strong character: **

Solution

Configure the Static Site Editor to format emphasis and bold using the Handbook-flavored markdown rules:

• Emphasis character: _
• Strong character: *
