Internal and private projects not loading file browser under Canary

1. Enable Canary
2. Browse to a private project such as https://gitlab.com/gitlab-com/dev-resources
3. Observe JS not loading

The page loads OK when I disable Canary

I observe the same thing with Chrome 83 and Firefox 76.
