Remove server installation instructions and high_availability directory
Proposal
After the information from the server installation pages that currently exist in the /high_availability directory has been incorporated into the separate reference architecture pages (by size), these files need to be removed from the docset:
-
/doc/administration/high_availability/alpha_database.md
-redirects to/doc/administration/high_availability/database.md
-
/doc/administration/high_availability/consul.md
-
/doc/administration/high_availability/database.md
-
/doc/administration/high_availability/gitaly.md
-
/doc/administration/high_availability/gitlab.md
-
/doc/administration/high_availability/load_balancer.md
-
/doc/administration/high_availability/monitoring_node.md
-
/doc/administration/high_availability/nfs_host_client_setup.md
-
/doc/administration/high_availability/nfs.md
-
/doc/administration/high_availability/object_storage.md
- redirects toadministration/object_storage.md
-
/doc/administration/high_availability/pgbouncer.md
-
/doc/administration/high_availability/README.md
- redirects to reference architectures -
/doc/administration/high_availability/redis_source.md
- we might need to deprecate this. All the other setups don't mention source installations. -
/doc/administration/high_availability/redis.md
-
/doc/administration/high_availability/sidekiq.md
Any information that's still required that's on these pages will need to be moved to another page as part of this effort, redirect rules will need to be put into place that send the reader to the main Reference Architectures page, and links to these pages will need to be removed from any product documentation pages that include a link to them.
Additional information may be added, as we learn more about the content on these pages, from the work being done in the migration work into the separate reference architecture pages, by size.
