Get docs from ./docs/ like GitHub

Description

On GitHub, in order to keep the root directory clean, you can put your docs (ie README, changelog, license, contributing guide, etc etc) into a ./docs directory and GitHub will detect it. As someone who mirrors their GitLab directories with GitHub, it'd be helpful if GitLab could do the same. Of course it's only for aesthetic purposes, but it'd be nice anyway.
