Contribute Challenge: Add more videos to the documentation
As part of the Contribute Challenge: Beautify The Docs, we are trying to improve feature adoption through documentation.
Oftentimes a user, customer, or prospect will review a doc page when considering what parts of GitLab to use, and whether they may need to subscribe or upgrade their subscription. It's important to offer a clear picture of a feature to help drive adoption, and one of the best ways is to include a short video about the feature and how it's used.
To contribute:
-
Find an existing video on YouTube (the main GitLab channel or Unfiltered) to link or embed in an existing feature doc's page
OR record a new video and upload it to Unfiltered. - You can either add the video link, doc link, and a comment to this sheet or add the video to the doc page yourself:
- Open the relevant page on docs.gitlab.com. At the bottom, click Edit this page or the Web IDE link.
- Link or embed the video.
- Raise an MR and label it with Contribute2020-challenge & ~"workflow::In review". Please associate your MR with this issue.
- Repeat! (You can do this for multiple videos/features.)
Ask any questions in #Contribute2020-challenge or see the epic.
Note: This is running in parallel to an inventory of videos recently posted to the main YouTube account or included in the Release Post &3071 (closed)
