Search plain text in alert list

Problem to solve

Alerts are often noisy and plentiful. Plain text search in the alerts list provides a responder a simple way to being to refine the list and surface contextually relevant alerts that they need to triage.

  • Devon (DevOps Engineer)

This work supports the direction of the Alert Management product category.

Proposal

Introduce a basic search to the alerts page. This is just a basic text search. In future iterations, we could perhaps introduce filtered search but that is out of scope for this first iteration.

For this issue, we'll try to search for keywords in the following fields:

  • title
  • description
  • monitoring tool
  • service
