Pricing and Packaging for Non- Developer User Use Cases
Hi Everyone,
We are excited to hear your inputs and feedback on your non-developer/reporter user use cases. This will help us to collaboratively iterate the pricing strategy working for both you and GitLab for these use cases. In particular, welcome to share:
- What's your use case?
- What problem can we help you to solve in terms of pricing?
- What are the features that you need for your use case?
- What's your current adoption of GitLab and why? (e.g. edition, # of seats, etc.)
- What's your current solution to expand to non-developer users and why?
- What's the ideal solution in terms of pricing that GitLab can provide to solve your problem if possible
If you prefer to share your insights and data with GitLab privately, please feel free to share with your GitLab Sales and/or @xli1 directly. Thank you!!
The current pricing strategy is shared in our handbook. If you have any immediate need with your specific use case, please contact our sales.
Thank you to everyone who provided input on a non-developer pricing structure. As noted in our handbook, list prices of our plans are blended prices with consideration for both developer and non-developer use cases. The feedback we received from this issue has highlighted that there are opportunities to help customers derive more value from GitLab products and there are some unique use cases that may require special pricing considerations. The advantages of a single plan model outweigh the disadvantages for the majority of our customers, so for the time being we have decided to not develop a specific non-developer offering. Going forward, we intend to focus our development resources on creating new innovations that will help customers derive more value from GitLab.
