Merge request reports merge error even if merge completed

In !24699 (comment 287536191) I approved and merge a merge request in one go using quick actions.

The merge request now reports that the merge failed:

Even though the merge commit: 3335a34a made it to master.

The system note was added to the merge request: !24699 (comment 287487189)
