Duplicate commit comments in Merge Request

When pushing a commit (using the web interface) to this Merge Request -- release-tools!218 (merged) -- I see that the commit comment under the 'Discussion' tab shows the same commit SHA twice, a minute apart.

I would expect to see the commit message only once.
