  I wonder how hard it would be to write a rubocop that detects new instances of "#{foo}.wiki" or foo + ".wiki", and points the developer towards the (obviously superior) helper method.

  If we don't, I imagine we'll have at least 2 more of these slip in before the end of the year, because not everyone (developers and reviewers) is aware of the wiki.disk_path helper.
