Supporting non-arabic numerals

Right now we're gettext, which uses sprintf, to add numbers into translations: https://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/manual/html_node/Plural-forms.html

I assume this means we currently cannot support other numeral systems: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numeral_system

I think somewhere down the line we'd need to find a way to support those as well.
