Let's have a GitLab API support for https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/27747#note_38755772 - we really really want this for https://gitlab.com/gitmate/open-source/IGitt (and there should be API support for all features ideally anyway so people can build on gitlab as a platform)
