Asynchronous search results for issues

Description
The issue search bar allows to search relevant issues based on labels. Currently when a particular label is selected by the user from the drop down , search results are not reflected on the page until the ENTER button is pressed. This sometimes could cause confusion regarding the search result generation. Below mentioned is such a scenario
**When the "text cursor" is shown on the search bar. It means that further labels could be selected or ENTER button could be pressed for completion of the issue search request **

The problem with such situation is that, if for any reason the user clicks at any other location on the page then the text cursor on the search bar disappear. Now with this state even when the ENTER button is pressed search results are not shown, as GET request was not sent. This situation is not an intuitive user experience as user begins to think about the reasons of search result not being reflected.
Proposal
If issue search results could be asynchronous, meaning a user is not required to hit any button for showing the search result, rather just the selection of label would send concerned GET request and results getting reflected.
