Search by author dropdown in issues and merge requests displays alt text for users with no avatar set when Gravatar is disabled
Summary
When a user has no avatar, search by author dropdown for issues and merge requests displays alt text.
Steps to reproduce
- Navigate to
../admin/application_settings
> Account and Limit Settings > uncheck Gravatar enabled - Navigate to
../<namespace>/<project-name>/issues
OR../<namespace>/<project-name>/merge_requests
- In the search field, search by author
- Observe alt text dispalyed for users with no avatar (see below screenshot)
What is the current bug behavior?
With Gravatar disabled in application settings, search by author displays alt text instead of a placeholder avatar.
The image src
is blank. See below screenshot from Chrome DevTools:
What is the expected correct behavior?
Similar to https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/31428, we should specify a no_avatar
or use inbuild helper image_tag avatar_icon
to display a placeholder image.
Results of GitLab environment info
Reproduced on GitLab 9.2.6-ee.
