Text is being mis-interpreted as JIRA project IDs

  • In organizations, there are many different IDs identifying different objects, documents, records etc. in different systems.

  • In some situations, JIRA is mis-interpreting these are JIRA project IDs due to how our integration uses regex matching.

  • How can we avoid this?

  • Grabbing the JIRA projects dynamically from JIRA. (https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/13310#note_4708596) With this method, you don't need to pre-define project IDs, which is a better approach, user-facing wise.

  • Remove the JIRA project key field in the integration settings.
