Helm Chart Error

Our contact at CoreOS used our Helm chart to deploy GitLab on Tectonic on AWS. There was no IP on AWS and he had to change the json file to look for the hostname:

export SERVICE_IP=$(kubectl get svc --namespace default gitlab-gitlab-ee -o jsonpath='{.status.loadBalancer.ingress[0].hostname}')

Is this something that needs changing in our helm chart or documentation?
