Markdown task lists ticking in comments is not reflected when editing immediately after

Create a comment with a Markdown tasklist like:

- [ ] Task 1
- [ ] Task 2

Tick the first task and, without leaving the page, edit your issue or comment.

You expect to see:

- [X] Task 1
- [ ] Task 2

which is the behavior you get if you leave the page and come back.

But instead, the task list is unaffected and is displayed in it's initial state:

- [ ] Task 1
- [ ] Task 2

Having the state change reflected immediately would make editing long tasks lists less cumbersome and more intuitive.
