Status tracker (more than just group issue board) for all users, projects and issues

Description

(Include problem, use cases, benefits, and/or goals)

project/issue/user status tracker

We'd like to be able to track usage to provide project managers insight to where projects and issues stand (something more than the proposed group/issue board that is already in the queue.

It would also be really useful to be able to see commits, by user across all projects. I realize there is discussion of a group-based issue board for later this year. But the specific uses we'd like to see don't match closely.

Proposal

Below are the features that we think we think could be most useful. I realize that this may not be something that can just be rolled out tomorrow. :)

But in the interim if anyone had suggestions on sql queries that could be used to extract the same information from the database, it would be most appreciated.
