Don't allow us to ddos our database (set a max number of tries for scripts)

It sounds like one of the problems from within the great database crisis was that we ran a script to delete a user (me) and that script was allowed to run infinitely and try forever until, not only the fact that it was deleting me was a problem, but the fact that it was running over and over again was the bigger problem causing the secondary's replication process to lag behind.
I posit that these scripts should have a max number of tries before giving up and logging something. If that had been in place, it sounds like we might not have had the problem in the first place. Although you still would have deleted me.
