Slack has this feature of having bot messages only be visible to you:

I myself has this tendency sometimes to leave notes for myself in the editor area or just post it with: note to self: CONTENT

Proposal

Perhaps its nice to have confidential note functionality in which you can add notes only to yourself in each discussion. Something like:
