An online version of git add

Proposal

I understand this would be a massive feature, but the benefits would be huge. You would be able to edit files online then do a git add instead of committing every. single. time. a. file. is. edited. This gets extremely tedious if you have CI set up, and this would benefit everyone as it would mean less CI builds for the gitlab server, but a much better experience for all users.
