Commit statistics always shows 2000 Commits.

Summary

Currently running gitlab 8.12.6. Commit stats show always 2k commits in CE and EE version. Issue also visible on https://gitlab.com.

Expected behavior

Expected behaviour would be the correct numbers.

Actual behavior

Always shows 2k commits.
