Login via OAuth stops working for new users when "Sign up" is disabled
Everyone can contribute. Help move this issue forward while earning points, leveling up and collecting rewards.
I would like to not use internal users and instead have people sign up using external logins only. (among other reasons I want to avoid having to deal with a spam bot check too much, and would rather have an external entity bother with that for me)
However, it appears that login via OAuth stops working for new users when "Sign up" is disabled. This means that you need to get everyone who ever would want to potentially login via omniauth to do so at least once before the "Sign up" is set to disabled. This somewhat defeats the purpose, and forces me to leave "Sign up" enabled although I don't really want people to create internal accounts.
