Premium or ultimate customers in need of search functionality for wikis have this available (so long as they have ElasticSearch installed.)

To search within a wiki in a project or a group, you can click on "Search or go to..." in the sidebar, enter your search terms, and press enter.

Original Issue Description (from 2017)

We are considering to use Gitlab as our primary knowledge base . Yet it is currently not possible to search wikis across all projects and therefore it is very much game over as a full functioning knowledge base.

Wiki should be searchable, like it does in Redmine.
