too manyopen files , backup rake abort doesnt clear the residual files

when backup command fails due the reason mentioned in the below link. https://forum.gitlab.com/t/attempting-a-backup-with-ce-8-0-0-causes-a-tar-execption/2198 The backup command leaves residual files in (repos, uploads, etc) in /var/opt/gitlab/backups folder. Due to this residual files the next backup is not created correctly as a couple of files/repsoa re not backup causing instability of the instance.
