AWS backups to specific key in bucket

Is it possible? I thought that I could set it like this:

gitlab_rails['backup_upload_remote_directory'] = 'my.s3.bucket/path'

But fog errs with *the specified s3 bucket name(my.s3.bucket/path) is not a valid dns name...
