Let admins adjust file verification rate

Problem to solve

As a systems administrator, I would like to adjust the rate of file verification across file types, so that I can manage the maximum number of running jobs.

For disaster recovery, I would also like to adjust the rate of file re-verification so I can be assured that the integrity of all files has been checked within a specific time-period.
