Innovation management tools are often used in big enterprises to help collect grassroots ideas from the large workforce. And then have them funnel into leadership so that they can review and execute them. Some of the processes include:

• Gathering ideas.
• Collaboration/communication/commenting on the ideas.
• Mechanisms to filter and narrow down ideas, such as voting.
• Moving ideas across various stages.
• Converting ideas to actionable business initiatives.

At GitLab, we already have many building blocks to do similar actions with issues, labels, milestones, and issue boards. We should be able to develop features in this area.
