  are we doing any I18n work with dates on the frontend side?

@brodock good question, I don't think any additional translation is done on FE side at this point (tested). It looks like this is common pattern which is used on multiple places:

I'm not sure off-hand what is the best approach to fix this (/cc @reprazent perhaps you might know?), but because it's used on many places I would incline to address this in a separate issue for all places if you agree?
