Click on merge request "for current branch" doesn't do anything

When I click on a merge request in the sidebar, the regarding merge request used to open up in a new browser tab or, as in the newer version, shows a detail view of the clicked merge request.

IS: But when I try to open the merge request for the current branch by clicking on that one that appears in the lower section of the sidebar ("for current branch"), it does not do anything.

SHOULD: When clicking on the merge request for the current branch, it should behave as I clicked on one from the other panes (i.e. "assigned to me") and open the detail view of that merge request.
