fix(GlTruncate): Prevent total whitespace collapse 

Preserves any visual space in the middle of the given text when it is
*not* being truncated.

This also removes a Jest test asserting on styling classes. Since we now
have visual tests, the tests about the classes can be removed.

Addresses gitlab#515533.
