Clearing docker cache... SLOW

Apparently during an upgrade the script to clear the docker cache (I suppose the one mentioned here #2980 (closed) ) is executed. This takes forever as it is sequentially clearing.

Can this be optimized/parellelized? Or exectued after the upgrade is complete? Or some time it does not extremely extend an upgrade process?
