Basic site analytics

It'd be really nice to get some basic analytics, probably just based off server access logs, so that we don't need to use something like Google Analytics to just get some basic analytics. An example of the sort of thing I think would be useful is Github's analytics for repos (announcement: https://github.blog/2014-01-07-introducing-github-traffic-analytics/) - simple graphs of requests and referers. Obviously that wouldn't completely replace Google Analytics or anything, but a simple solution that just gives an idea of server access logs would be a nice lightweight solution in many cases.
