Uncompressed backups
Description
Hey there,
currently I have the following feature request or problem. I have created in my k8s installation an cronjob out of your task runner container, which automatically backs up gitlab for me and a clean up task as well. But I now have a problem with the staticness of this container, at least I did not see a way yet to explicitly disable compression.
So this is either a feature request or a question.
Can I disable the compression of the backup? If yes how, if not, can you please consider this as a feature request?
The use case behind it
To give you an insight, why the hell I would want an uncompressed backup. This has a multitude of reasons. First of all I use more efficient algorithms, than you do. Either I use any LZMA generation or when speed is a role which is the case for gitlab https://github.com/wzrdtales/docker-pixz (Just hinting those, maybe you want to improve on that side as well). But especially for gitlab I want to work with deduplication and compress afterwards the increments. This is however only possible when I get the uncompressed backup. It would already be enough if I could just disable the backup script to package up the things and leave the files before the packaging there for me. Deduplication is a must in environments like gitlab, since backups will dramatically increase in size over time (I currently have backup storage locations that grow to 7TiB, which could be way smaller when deduplication would have been used, and the retention time on this side are only 30 days + 1 end of month savers a 12 month). So something that simple, would help me a lot.
Thanks in advance!
