Inconsistent label weights
Summary
Currently, we have an inconsistency with label weights:
Is there a case to be made to have differently weighted labels? According to the design system:
GitLab uses two font weights within the application: normal and bold. A bold font weight can be used to emphasize specific UI elements, such as a title or input label.

Improvements
- Add
font-weight: 600;
to the globallabel
tag - Add
font-weight: 400;
to.form-check-label
class so we don't run into this:
By doing that, it keeps .form-check-label
at it's normal weight:
Risks
- Changing styles on a tag like
label
changes it in places you don't necessarily think of. A thorough QA will need to be done to audit the many placeslabels
will be.
Involved components
All labels
Optional: Intended side effects
To make all labels a consistent weight
Optional: Missing test coverage
@tauriedavis I noticed this when checking out another issue, so I wanted to bring this to light. Do you agree this is something that should be changed?
